No filters or cam effects...

...just the morning sun, and the camera in my iPad which is unusual for someone like me who is a junky for special fx to just shoot and leave as is. Sometimes nature needs no filter. It was 7:15 am as I was starting my daily routine. Everything was quiet and the morning sun of spring was shedding a new light for the day. I love mornings like this.

I Got Flowers!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone.  My sweetie man came home today saying. "I don't do cut flowers 'cause they die so here's some in a pot that will last".  And I'm thinkin' yep and so does our love.  And they do smell lovely, too.  :)

"Campanula Get Mee"
(yes that's what they're called)

Recipe for...

Getting more health conscious lately so this is just one of those things I like to whip together.

What's in it?

1 cup of quinoa cooked with some turmeric and curry
Half package of semi firm tofu diced and fried in xtra virgin olive oil then add:
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Zucchini
Mushrooms
Red cabbage
Green onion
Garlic
Ginger

Haven't been doing too much visual art lately but it may as well come out in edible form. And good for you too. :)

Another Friday night painting

How My Heart Burns
8X10 canvas board
There's no other way to explain it except it's just the way I feel.  It's been a month now since my Mom left her body and I just take it all just one day at a time...

It's been a long time...

Well it sure has been a long time.  And tonight I threw together some actual paintings :)
"We've Landed on Venus"
8X8 Acrylic on canvas
Thinking of planets and such and our multi dimensional universe

"Upside Down Garden"
8X8 Acrylic on canvas
This could be in another dimension, too but not the physical one we live in.  Ha ha!

"Take the Purple Pill"
8X8 Acrylic on canvas
This is actually not quite the right colour as the original.  And actually the original is not quite the colour I've intended, either because the city is still more blue than I've intended it to be.  Oh well.  Guess I might as well take the blue pill anyway but at least the sky is metallic gold!  Ha ha :)

Time Capsule

My old bike. Rode many of miles on it back in the day and now it sits covered in rust and moss yet still has a character of its own. It was like revisiting a part of my youth. Metaphorically, to me it's a reminder to clean off the rust and the moss to remember even more of the simple things in life all over again...
